Welcome to my little world of bird taxidermy.
My name is Julie Ginn, and I am the artist and owner of The Bird Gal taxidermy. I started in taxidermy in November of 2017; under the tutelage of Diana Brazier of Brazier Taxidermy. My apprenticeship with Diana covered a wide array of four-legged mammals, including, but not limited to deer, elk, bear, and cougar. Somewhere around the middle of 2021, I decided that my real passion was birds.
Once I decided that I wanted to learn to taxidermy birds, I purchased several books on the subject…watched countless videos…and spent 40+ hours up North, learning the art of bird taxidermy from a 20+ year veteran before I decided that I was ready to venture out on my own.
My earlier work was quite rudimentary. I have come quite far in the anatomical accuracy of my birds. Although I will not claim to be the best, I will say, that I am very good. You will not be disappointed if you decide to trust me with your memories and trophies.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my website and for getting to know me.
Sincerely,
Julie
